One complete 4-player group is shown. Four players share a clear rectangle, numbered 1–4. Start with player 1 on the ball; the numbers identify the next receiver, not fixed stations.

Coaching points

  • Setup: Four players share a clear rectangle, numbered 1–4. Start with player 1 on the ball; the numbers identify the next receiver, not fixed stations.
  • Play: Pass 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and back to 1 using the feet. After passing, move into an unoccupied space while staying available for the next cycle. One completed ordered cycle scores one; use comfortable movement rather than a race.
  • Reset and rotation: Restart with 1 if the ball leaves the area or the order breaks. After 45 seconds, pause to change numbers and recover, then repeat. Rotate the first passer each round.
  • Numbers: The diagram shows 4 players. With up to 8, use a second complete group in a separate area. Odd spare players rest off the area and rotate into a playing role every 45 seconds; everyone has equal turns.
  • Coach focus: Find the next number before receiving and move after the pass without crossing another player’s route.
  • Safety: No blockers, collisions or punishment laps. Begin at walking pace, keep the head up and stop if two running paths converge.

Progressions
